ABOUT US

About Us

Army Wives Welfare Association

One of the biggest NGOs in India is the Army Wives Welfare Association. Since its founding in 1966, it has steered a course toward completing social obligations, empowering others, and developing skills.

The organization has been serving its selected and allocated areas of interest admirably. After many years of expansion since its founding in 1966, AWWA is currently developing a new paradigm for the scope and execution of its operations. While much of it entails realigning its previous roles to meet modern environmental ambitions, the organization is also focused on giving life to concepts and initiatives that will determine how AWWA is perceived in the future.

"Army Wives Welfare Association has been committed to the cause of empowerment of women since its inception. Abhivyakti Season 2 provides a befitting platform to our Army wives to showcase their talent to the entire nation. Simply said, Abhivyakti Season 2 is true expression of talent".

AWWA Lit Fest

ABHIVYAKTI – the literary festival, is an initiative by Army Wives Welfare Association to give a platform for army wives to showcase their literary talent to the world. Season 1 of ABHIVYAKTI was held in Delhi in 2021 and was a huge success. The festival was a star-studded event with the likes of Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Women and Child Development of India attending and addressing the same. The festival provided a launch pad to many budding authors in the army wives fraternity. To take forward the immense success and celebration of ABHIVYAKTI, the glorious responsibility of organizing Season 2 of the same has been conferred upon AWWA South Western Command. ABHIVYAKTI Season 2 is being organized in Jaipur at Jawahar Kala Kendra from 12 – 14 Nov 2022. The festival will offer interactions with writers, storytellers, poets, journalists, bloggers, and AWWA entrepreneurs, opportunities to attend educational workshops, witness eminent artists perform live, and much more.
